 Ancestral Communication and Work. Hi Guys, It's me again, as this is work that I have been actively doing, and Cat and I agreed that I would do this post for you. It seems to fit in well with the season. We have discussed this subject briefly in some other posts, such as Vivianite  (just use the search function and input ancestors or spirit work, and you will find the posts to read whichever ones shout at you, as there are too many mentions to put them in here). We discussed communication with spirits in a previous post but this is a lot more specific as it deals with our own flesh and blood. Hello all! I'm revamping our crystal series with a new name and a crystal that is quite fitting for the time of the year! Today's crystal is.... Vivianite ! What is Vivianite? Vivianite is a crystal that was first discovered in Cornwall at Wheal Kind in St Agnes and was named after either John Henry Vivian or Jeffrey G Vivian and usually measures between 1.5 - 2 on the Mohs scale. It is also referred to as Necro Crystal, Necromancy Stone and Corpse Crystal, which we'll get to in a moment ( if you're squeamish or sensitive to the topic, scroll away now ).  Appearance  Vivianite in it's purest form is actually colourless but, when exposed to air, the minerals it's comprised of oxidise which gives it a deep blue to deep green and most shades in-between colour.   Hi Guys, In keeping with our Hallowe'en theme, I thought that I would look at skulls this week. Crystal skulls have been used for millennia by our ancestors. They were used principally to store knowledge. Our ancestors used mainly quartz skulls for this effect. It is believed that many different cultures used them, from Inca to Maya to Atlantis! Nowadays, the skull is used to signify either knowledge gain or ancestor communion, depending on what it is that you intend to use them for. In the centre of a crystal grid, they create a strong focal point. There are many styles of crystal skulls available on the market these days, from the human looking ones pictured above, to dragon skulls and alien skulls. Each has its own purpose and symbolism behind it. Dragon skulls are used to help communicate and work with dragons and their own magicks. I don't own a dragon skull, but it is on my wish list!   Hi Guys, I know I missed the crystals last week, but we're back this week. We've looked at crystal grids in the past, but I thought that we could look in a little more detail as to why there are crystals in certain shapes. Crystal shapes are carved and polished, so are highly worked stones, and some people do not like working with them. As someone who prefers raw, unworked stones, I do have an inordinate number of crystal shapes! Above is my very own sodalite angel. I also have a carnelian angel, and a large selenite one too. I do have a piece of this, but cannot find which box it is in, so had to resort to stock photos! Danburite is an Orthorhombic crystal, a calcium, boron, silicate mineral, with the chemical formula of CaB 2 (SiO 4) 2. Danburite is considered a stone for Hallowe'en as it is one that helps connect us to higher realms. It has a very pure vibration.   Hi Guys, Continuing or Spirits part of the elements series today, we are looking at ways to communicate with Spirit, concentrating mainly on the tools I have used. The way I think of communicating with spirit, is to help others by guidance through messages received and passing on these massages to others. We have a TikTok channel on which I deliver daily (or mostly daily) card readings. I prefer to say that I am telling it the way it is, rather than fortune telling. Although not considered a classical element, as the other four are (mainly because it is not physical), it is in this series as it is used in Magickal works. Also sometimes referred to as Akasha, Aether or quintessence (Latin for the fifth element). It is represented by The Fool card in Tarot. Its planet is the Sun. It is linked to the colours:  white,  silver,  gold,  purple and  violet. Hi guys, Crystal Wednesday today, with a look at crystals that are associated with the element of air.   Hi guys, Moving on with our elements series this week, we are onto the element of air. I know we missed the Flora Friday of Fire week due to the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II, so we will revisit that at some point soon. So, onto our penultimate in the elements series: Air corresponds to the East in cardinal compass points. It links to many of the other elements too. It feeds fire, it drives clouds (element of water), it shapes the Earth and is very closely linked to Spirit (next week's topic). Planetary associations: Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus. In Popular Culture Twisters are referenced in many films, Twister and The Wizard of Oz to name but two. It could be argued that films such as Airplane! are also linked, as it is to do with flight.
