Hello all!! Today's post is an introduction to Reiki and has been prepared by our resident Reiki Master Kerenza as I have no idea what I'm talking about. It is considered an energy therapy, and can be performed hands on or hands off. It is different from other energy healing in that it uses different symbols for healing. These are easily accessible on the Internet, although they are supposed to be arcane in the true sense of the word, and therefore only taught to initiates. It was first practiced by Mikao Isui in the 1920s, and was bought to the west by Hawayo Takata who was an Hawaiian of Japanese descent.
